Gypsy
Bankstown Theatre Company presents the 1959 Broadway classic — book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim — drawn loosely from burlesque star Gypsy Rose Lee's memoir. Set in the fading world of American vaudeville, it follows Mama Rose, the ultimate stage mother, as she drives her daughters towards a stardom she wanted for herself.
