ATYP brings a beloved musical into a bold new chapter, reimagined through a Pacific Island and Australian lens. On a remote island at the edge of the ocean, young Eilidh stands at a crossroads: the mainland promises opportunity, yet the traditions that shaped her are slipping away. When a mysterious stranger is pulled from the waves, Eilidh's world widens in unexpected and life-changing ways. Islander unfolds through two performers who shape an entire community before your eyes, shifting between characters and building the soundscape live with vocal looping and layered recording — every harmony created in real time, powered by a shimmering, folk-inspired score.
