Saint Ignatius College Geelong proudly presentsLes Misérables – School EditionSaint Ignatius College Geelong is thrilled to bring to the stage a powerful student production of Les Misérables – School Edition, based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo. Performances will take place in the Companions Centre from 28–30 August.Set in 19th-century France, this moving and dramatic musical follows Jean Valjean, a former convict seeking redemption after years of imprisonment. Pursued relentlessly by the determined Inspector Javert, Valjean’s path crosses with Fantine, a struggling mother, and her daughter Cosette, whom he raises as his own. As Cosette falls in love with Marius, a young revolutionary, the story unfolds against the backdrop of political upheaval and sacrifice.Featuring unforgettable songs such as "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Do You Hear the People Sing?" and "Bring Him Home," this is a production not to be missed.Please join us for a special pre-performance function featuring our very own Saint Ignatius College Geelong Piano Bar which will be held each evening from 5:45pm in the MacKillop Centre Foyer.Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience, as the echo of a revolution is led by the next generation.Performance Information:Show duration: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 20-minute interval⚠️ Content advisory: Contains some strong language and mature themes — parental guidance is recommended.
